Confirmation Preparation – Year 1: Participants must be 15 years old by April 1, 2024, and have already received the sacraments of Baptism, Reconciliation (Penance) and Eucharist (First Communion). The curriculum challenges and guides the teen to pursue lives that are holy, healthy and happy; discusses morality; summarizes the church’s central beliefs, moral vision, and communal worship: and explores the role of the Holy Spirit in living the Christian life. Classes meet EVERY OTHER WEEK, on Sunday or Wednesday evening.
Teens in the Con 1 program are required to:

• Attend and Participate in 18 Sessions which include 15 classes, 2 Unity classes and 1 Safety class
• Attend and Participate in the Con 1 Weekend Retreat (Nov 3-5, 2023)
• Complete Service Hours : 5 Hours in the Parish, 5 Hours in the Community, and attend 3 Fellowship Events hosted by Youth Ministry
  • Submit Service Log (due March 24, 2024)

• Attend and Participate in Classes - 1 Track = 5 classes (instead of 15 classes), 1 Unity class (instead of 2) and 1 Safety class

• Attend and Participate in 18 Sessions which include 15 sessions, 2 Unity classes and 1 Safety class
• Attend and Participate in the Con 2 Weekend Retreat (January 12-14, 2023)
• Attend Prayer and Practice with Sponsor (tentative date May 12, 2024)
• Complete Service Hours : 5 Hours in the Parish, 5 Hours in the Community, and attend 3 Fellowship Events hosted by Youth Ministry

• Sponsor Form and Affidavit (due February 7, 2024)
• Teen-Choosing a Sponsor Form (due February 7, 2024)
• Saint Report (to be presented and submitted on either April 28 or May 1, 2024)
  • Service Log (due March 24, 2024)
